Isle of Wight Festival 2010 - Festival fashion..

Noone would ever mistake me for a festival chic. However this June, adventurous as I am, I attended my first festival ever: the Isle of Wight Festival. To be honest,I was quite sceptical about how I would feel about spending three nights in a tent, possibly in very muddy surroundings. However, the weather Gods behaved well and it was mostly sunny the whole weekend, allowing the true festival chics and fashionistas to show off their outfits. I did spot a huge amount of do's and dont's, vast amounts of male nudity and costumes, topped off with what must have been a very good weekend for people selling wellies. My Hunters and I survived the weekend dry footed, and with new knowledge about the festival fashion scene..

Ready for some music: Hat- French Connection, scarf- Redherring, cardigan from a little boutique in Paris selling Vila, t-shirt- H&M, boyfriend shorts - Warehouse, tanned leather bag- Topshop, Hunter wellies.

Infront of the main scene.

I lived in my stripes H&M t-shirt this weekend.

Jeans- Topshop, cardigan- vintage H&M

Hunter's are still hot. Not to mention very necessary..

Loved this lady's style. Check out the hat (the man she was with actually had a matching one!) and the socks in her wellies..

Matching Maxi dress and wellies? Why not:)

Denim shirts was a hit this festival, and check out that pink silk jacket.

Headband and denim jacket, some absolute musts.

More denim matched with tanned leather bags and white dresses with blonde/lacey details.

I do not think you are allowed to enter a festival without a hat. I loved this one, with a little pink ribbon. Check out how she wears her t-shirt as well.

However, if you forgot your hat at home, there were plenty of opportunities to buy one.

With the festival season coming up, with happenings such as Roskilde (Denmark) and Slottsfjell (Norway) there is, according to the Isle of Wight festival look, certain items you just need to get into your wardrobe now: a pair of denim shorts, an oversized denim shirt, a straw hat, a maxi dress and wellies. Have you written it down on your shoppinglist? Good..Now go and enjoy some music..

And to honour the World Cup, this was how some of the men chose to dress:

(They are all trying to look like famous fotballplayers, if you did'nt notice immediatly..)
